  • 120 ml buttermilk

  • 80 ml neutral oil

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 60 ml hot water

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease your donut pan with a bit of oil or non-stick spray.

  • Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the banana flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  • Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and well-mixed.

  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

    • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

    • Gradually stir in the hot water to loosen the batter.

  • Fill the Donut Pan:

    • Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each donut mold about ¾ full.

  • Bake the Donuts:

    • Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean. Let them cool slightly in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
