Christmas Italian Cheese Log

This Christmas Italian Cheese Log is a festive, creamy appetizer bursting with Parmesan, herbs, cranberries, and walnuts. It’s the perfect make-ahead holiday appetizer for parties, potlucks, or family gatherings!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 lb grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese and Parmesan until smooth and well combined.

  • Stir in parsley, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  • On a piece of plastic wrap or parchment, shape the mixture into a log.

  • In a small bowl, combine dried cranberries and chopped walnuts. Roll the cheese log in the cranberry-walnut mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  • Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up and let flavors meld.

  • Serve chilled with crackers, crostini, or veggie sticks.

Notes

  • Make up to 2 days ahead and keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

  • Add finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers for extra Italian flair.

  • Can be shaped into a wreath or ball for variety.
