8 chicken drumsticks
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (optional)
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with foil and grease lightly.
In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, olive oil, vinegar, sriracha (if using), garlic, pepper, and paprika.
Place drumsticks in a ziplock bag or bowl, pour marinade over, and toss to coat. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Arrange drumsticks on prepared tray, reserving marinade. Bake for 25 minutes.
While baking, pour reserved marinade into a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, stir in cornstarch slurry, and cook until thickened (2–3 minutes).
After 25 minutes, brush sauce over drumsticks. Flip, brush again, and bake for another 15–20 minutes, until cooked through (165°F/74°C).
Broil for 2–3 minutes if desired for a crispier skin.
Garnish with parsley and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Marinate longer (up to 8 hours) for deeper flavor.
For extra kick, double the sriracha or add chili flakes.
Serve with rice, noodles, or roasted veggies.
Leftovers store well and can be reheated in the oven or air fryer.
