Strawberry Tiramisu

This Strawberry Tiramisu is a delightful dessert made with creamy mascarpone cheese, fresh strawberries, and ladyfingers soaked in coffee and strawberry jam. A fruity, light, and refreshing variation of the classic tiramisu!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cream Filling:

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • ½ cup sugar

    • 8 oz mascarpone cheese

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • For the Strawberry Layer:

    • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries

    • ½ cup strawberry jam

  • For the Ladyfingers and Coffee Layer:

    • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled

    • 24 ladyfinger cookies

  • For Garnish:

    • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cream Filling:

  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and sugar together until soft peaks form.

  • In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese with the vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined and creamy.

2. Prepare the Strawberry Layer:

  • In a small bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with the strawberry jam. Stir until the strawberries are evenly coated and let them sit for a few minutes to release some juice.

3. Assemble the Tiramisu:

  • In a shallow dish, pour the cooled brewed coffee. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee, ensuring it is moist but not soggy.

  • Layer the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish or individual glasses.

  • Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.

  • Add a layer of the strawberry jam mixture on top of the cream, followed by another layer of dipped ladyfingers.

  • Repeat the layers until the dish is filled, finishing with a final layer of mascarpone cream.

4. Garnish and Chill:

  • Sift the cocoa powder over the top of the tiramisu for garnish.

  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set.

5. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve chilled, and enjoy the fresh, fruity, creamy goodness of this strawberry-infused tiramisu!

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent touch, you can drizzle some extra strawberry jam or fresh strawberry slices on top before serving.

  • If you prefer a boozy version, you can add a splash of rum or marsala wine to the coffee.
