Ingredients

Scale

For the Ground Beef

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Dill Hot Honey Feta Sauce

  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 12 tablespoons honey (adjust sweetness)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 12 tablespoons warm water (to thin as needed)

For Assembly

  • 4 large soft wraps or flatbreads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook for 6–8 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat.
  2. Make the Dill Hot Honey Feta Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, plain Greek yogurt, honey, red pepper flakes, chopped fresh dill, and lemon juice. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until smooth. Gradually add warm water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the sauce reaches a creamy, drizzle-friendly consistency.
  3. Warm the Wraps: Heat each wrap in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30–60 seconds on each side or warm them briefly in the oven to make them soft and pliable for easier rolling.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Spread a generous layer of the dill hot honey feta sauce evenly onto each warm wrap. Add a portion of the cooked ground beef, followed by shredded lettuce, diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion on top.
  5. Serve: Fold the wraps tightly to encase the fillings. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey and red pepper flakes in the sauce to suit your sweetness and spice preference.
  • You can substitute ground beef with ground lamb or turkey for a different flavor.
  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free wraps.
  • Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and used as a dip or spread.
  • Warm the wraps just before assembling to prevent them from becoming soggy.
