For the Brownies
- 200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
- 120 g (½ cup) unsalted butter
- 150 g (¾ cup) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 90 g (¾ cup) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp salt
For Topping
- Vanilla ice cream (1 scoop per serving)
- Chocolate sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Chopped nuts (almonds, peanuts, or walnuts)
- Fresh strawberries (optional)
- Make the brownies – Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper. Melt chocolate and butter together, add sugar, eggs, vanilla, sift in dry ingredients, pour batter into pan, and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
- Assemble the dessert – Place a warm brownie square on a serving plate, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, sprinkle with chopped nuts, and garnish with a fresh strawberry.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake (don’t overcook).
- Try caramel or coffee ice cream for a twist.
- Serve immediately so the ice cream melts deliciously over the brownie.
