Indulge in the ultimate chocolate lover’s dream with this decadent Brownie à la Mode recipe. Rich, fudgy brownies topped with creamy vanilla ice cream, luscious chocolate sauce, and a variety of delightful toppings.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownies

  • 200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 120 g (½ cup) unsalted butter
  • 150 g (¾ cup) sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 90 g (¾ cup) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

For Topping

  • Vanilla ice cream (1 scoop per serving)
  • Chocolate sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Chopped nuts (almonds, peanuts, or walnuts)
  • Fresh strawberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the brownies – Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper. Melt chocolate and butter together, add sugar, eggs, vanilla, sift in dry ingredients, pour batter into pan, and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
  2. Assemble the dessert – Place a warm brownie square on a serving plate, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, sprinkle with chopped nuts, and garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake (don’t overcook).
  • Try caramel or coffee ice cream for a twist.
  • Serve immediately so the ice cream melts deliciously over the brownie.
