Bread
- 1 baguette or rustic bread, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil, for brushing
Toppings
- 8 oz burrata cheese
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 garlic clove, halved
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Seasoning
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare it for toasting the bread slices.
- Prepare the bread: Lightly brush each slice of baguette with olive oil and lay them out on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes until they become golden brown and crisp.
- Rub the garlic: Once toasted, remove the bread from the oven and gently rub each slice with the cut side of the garlic clove to impart a subtle garlic flavor.
- Assemble the bruschetta: Place a generous portion of burrata cheese on each slice of toasted bread. Top with halved cherry tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Finish and garnish: Drizzle each bruschetta with balsamic glaze for a sweet tangy contrast and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately to enjoy the creamy and fresh flavors at their best.
Notes
- Use ripe cherry tomatoes for the best flavor.
- For a vegan version, substitute burrata with a dairy-free cheese alternative.
- Balsamic glaze can be homemade by reducing balsamic vinegar until thickened or store-bought for convenience.
- Serve immediately to prevent the bread from becoming soggy.
