Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta

Protein

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced into thin strips

Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Seasoning and Oil

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside to keep warm.
  2. Sear Steak: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the steak strips with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning. Add to the skillet and sear until browned and cooked to your preference, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Cook Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with the remaining Cajun seasoning. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until they become pink, opaque, and fully cooked. Remove shrimp and set aside with the steak.
  5. Prepare Alfredo Sauce: Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Add the cooked fettuccine pasta and toss everything together to evenly coat the pasta and proteins in the creamy sauce.
  7. Season and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Serve immediately, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.

Notes

  • Use fresh parsley as a garnish for added color and flavor.
  • For a spicier dish, add more Cajun seasoning or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Ensure not to overcook shrimp as they become rubbery; cook just until pink and opaque.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version, but sauce may be less rich.
  • Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat gently to avoid curdling the sauce.
