  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Coating:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

For Frying:

  • Oil for frying

Creamy Herb Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Main Prep: In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, 1 beaten egg, parsley, green onions, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shaping: Shape the mixture into small patties.
  3. Coating: Dredge each patty in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Frying: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  5. Creamy Herb Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, dill, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Serve with the crab cake fritters.
