Ingredients

Scale

Lobster Tails

  • 24 lobster tails

Garlic Butter Cream Sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Garnish & Serving

  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster: Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Gently lift the meat away from the shell, keeping it attached at the base, then rest the meat on top of the shell to expose it for cooking.
  2. Make Garlic Butter Cream: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined and heated through.
  3. Cook the Lobster: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a grill to medium-high. Generously brush the lobster tails with the garlic butter cream sauce. For the oven method, bake the tails for 10–12 minutes until the meat is opaque and cooked through. For grilling, place lobster tails shell side down and grill for 4–5 minutes per side. Optionally, brush additional garlic butter cream during cooking for extra flavor.
  4. Serve: Remove the lobster tails from the oven or grill. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side. Pair the dish with sides like rice, pasta, or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Enjoy the creamy, garlicky, buttery lobster tails immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the number of lobster tails depending on serving size and appetite; 2 lobster tails typically serve 2 people.
  • Be careful not to overcook the lobster to keep the meat tender and juicy.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, but the sauce will be less rich.
  • Grilling adds a smoky flavor, while baking offers a hands-off approach; choose based on your preference.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor rather than bottled lemon juice.
  • Leftover garlic butter sauce can be used as a dipping sauce for bread or vegetables.
