Turkey Cutlets
- 1 lb (450g) ground turkey, formed into 4 thin cutlets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Tomato Topping
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Burrata Layer
- 4 oz (115g) burrata cheese, divided into 4 portions
Optional Garnish
- Fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze drizzle
- Cook the Turkey Cutlets: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the ground turkey cutlets with salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, and lemon juice. Cook the cutlets for 4–5 minutes on each side until fully cooked through and golden brown on the outside. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare the Tomato Topping: In a small bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Optionally, for extra softness and flavor, lightly sauté the tomato mixture in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes just until softened.
- Assemble the Dish: Arrange each cooked turkey cutlet on a serving plate. Spoon the tomato and basil topping generously over each cutlet. Place a portion of burrata cheese on top of the tomato layer. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve immediately while warm to enjoy the creamy burrata texture and vibrant flavors.
Notes
- Ensure ground turkey cutlets are thin and even for uniform cooking.
- Use fresh basil for the brightest flavor and aroma.
- Optionally sauté the tomatoes for a softer topping or serve them fresh for a more vibrant taste.
- Serve immediately to prevent the burrata from melting too much.
- Balsamic glaze can be homemade or store-bought for convenience.
