Ground Beef
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Dill Lemon Honey Feta Cream
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- ⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1–2 tablespoons warm water (to thin as needed)
Assembly
- 4 large soft wraps or flatbreads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced cucumber
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
- Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic, oregano, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, for 6–8 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary. Remove from heat.
- Make the Dill Lemon Honey Feta Cream: In a bowl, combine crumbled feta, Greek yogurt, honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped dill. Mix until smooth and creamy. Add warm water a little at a time until the sauce reaches a drizzle-friendly consistency.
- Warm the Wraps: Heat wraps in a dry skillet for 30–60 seconds per side or warm briefly in the oven until soft and pliable.
- Assemble: Spread a generous layer of dill lemon honey feta cream down the center of each wrap. Top with seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and red onion.
- Serve: Fold tightly into wraps and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- If fresh dill is unavailable, dried dill works well but use less as it is more concentrated.
- Adjust the honey quantity in the feta cream to control sweetness.
- For a gluten-free meal, use gluten-free wraps or lettuce leaves as wraps.
- This wrap is best served fresh but can be stored wrapped tightly in the fridge for up to 1 day.
