Ingredients

Scale

Lobster Tails

  • 4 lobster tails (about 6 oz each)

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Garnish and Serving

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lobster tails: Using kitchen shears, carefully cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the center. Gently pull the lobster meat slightly out of the shell and rest it on top. Pat the meat dry with paper towels to ensure the garlic butter adheres well.
  2. Make garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to create a flavorful garlic butter sauce.
  3. Brush lobster tails: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the lobster meat, making sure each tail is well coated. Reserve some of the butter for basting during cooking to keep the meat moist and flavorful.
  4. Cook the lobster: For oven method, preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until the meat turns opaque and is cooked through. For grill method, preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place lobster tails meat-side up on the grill and cook for 8–10 minutes, basting occasionally with the reserved garlic butter to enhance flavor and moisture.
  5. Serve: Garnish the cooked lobster tails with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately alongside lemon wedges for squeezing over the meat to add bright, fresh acidity.

Notes

  • Ensure not to overcook lobster tails as they can become tough and rubbery. The meat should be opaque and tender.
  • If you prefer, this recipe can be doubled or halved depending on the number of guests.
  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle a little smoked paprika on the lobster tails before cooking.
  • Leftover garlic butter can be saved and used as a dipping sauce for bread or vegetables.
  • For gluten-free preparation, verify all ingredients like paprika and butter have no added gluten-containing components.
