Garlic Butter Lobster Tails offer a decadent and flavorful seafood dish perfect for special occasions or a luxurious dinner at home. Tender lobster meat is brushed with a savory blend of melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, and paprika, then baked to juicy perfection and garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Ingredients

Scale

Lobster Tails

  • 4 lobster tails

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnish and Serving

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lobster tails: Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise. Gently lift the lobster meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell for even cooking and presentation.
  2. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup and prevent sticking.
  3. Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to create a flavorful basting sauce.
  4. Brush the lobster: Place the prepared lobster tails on the baking sheet with the meat side up. Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat to infuse it with flavor.
  5. Bake: Bake the lobster tails in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes until the meat turns opaque and is fully cooked. Halfway through baking, baste the lobster with additional garlic butter for enhanced taste and moisture.
  6. Serve: Once cooked, garnish the lobster tails with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika to the garlic butter mixture.
  • Do not overcook the lobster as it can become tough and rubbery; meat should be opaque and tender.
  • If fresh lobster tails are unavailable, frozen lobster tails can be used; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
  • Serve with sides such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftover lobster meat can be used in salads, pasta dishes, or lobster rolls.
