  • 2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream, chilled
  • 1/3 cup (40 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the caramel layer:

  • 1 1/4 cups (300 g) caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Optional toppings:

  • Edible gold leaf or gold sprinkles (for festive decoration)
  • Crispy caramel shards or extra cookie pieces

Instructions

  1. Make the whipped cream: In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Set aside in the fridge.
  2. Prepare the cookie/cake base: Break gingerbread cookies into medium chunks or cut baked gingerbread cake into cubes.
  3. Assemble the parfaits: In a tall glass, add a layer of cookie pieces at the bottom. Spoon over a layer of whipped cream. Drizzle with caramel sauce. Repeat the layers until the glass is full, finishing with whipped cream and caramel drizzle on top.
  4. Garnish: Top with cookie shards, caramel shards, and a touch of edible gold for a festive look.
