Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Wrap:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, sliced or shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads or flatbreads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion

Hot Honey Dill Feta Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Season and Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced or shredded cooked chicken and season with dried oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is heated through and slightly golden on the edges.
  2. Prepare Hot Honey Dill Feta Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, Greek yogurt, honey, chili flakes, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix thoroughly until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and well blended.
  3. Warm Pita Breads: Warm the pita breads or flatbreads in a dry pan over medium heat or in the oven for about 1 minute on each side to make them pliable and warm for wrapping.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Spread a generous spoonful of the hot honey dill feta sauce onto each warmed pita bread. Layer the seasoned cooked chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced red onions evenly on top.
  5. Finish and Serve: Drizzle additional feta sauce over the fillings if desired, then roll or fold the pita breads tightly to enclose the fillings. Serve the wraps immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute cooked rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Adjust chili flakes in the sauce based on your preferred spice level.
  • Warm the pita just before assembling to prevent cracking.
  • Fresh dill is recommended for vibrant flavor, but dried dill can be used in a pinch (use about 1 teaspoon).
  • These wraps can be wrapped in foil for a portable lunch option.
