Ingredients

Scale

Cheese

  • 2 balls burrata cheese (about 8 oz / 225 g total)
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Honeyed Fruit

  • 1 cup fresh figs or pear slices
  • 1 cup red or green grapes
  • ½ cup pomegranate arils or fresh berries
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Board Accompaniments

  • Sliced rustic bread or sourdough
  • Crostini or crackers
  • ¼ cup toasted pistachios or walnuts

Garnish

  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honeyed Fruit: In a small bowl, gently toss figs (or pears), grapes, and pomegranate arils with honey, orange zest, and lemon juice. Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the fruit to be lightly glazed and infused with the citrus honey syrup.
  2. Prepare the Burrata: Place burrata balls on a small plate or directly on the serving board. Drizzle evenly with extra-virgin olive oil and finish with freshly cracked black pepper to enhance the creamy cheese flavors.
  3. Assemble the Board: Arrange the burrata near the center of a large wooden board or platter. Spoon some of the honeyed fruit mixture around and over the cheese to create a vibrant, inviting centerpiece.
  4. Add Bread & Crunch: Fan out slices of rustic bread, crostini, or crackers around the burrata to provide a perfect base for spreading the cheese and fruit. Scatter toasted pistachios or walnuts over the board to add a satisfying crunch and nutty flavor.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Finish the board with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for an aromatic touch and optionally sprinkle flaky sea salt over the burrata and fruit for added seasoning. Serve immediately while the burrata remains soft and creamy for the best texture experience.

Notes

  • Choose fresh, ripe fruit for the best flavor in the honeyed fruit mix.
  • You can substitute the nuts with your favorite variety or omit for nut-free guests.
  • Serve the board at room temperature to best enjoy the creamy burrata texture.
  • Leftover honeyed fruit can be refrigerated for up to 2 days but is best fresh.
  • For a more festive touch, add a drizzle of aged balsamic glaze over the board before serving.
