Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 4 beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon thyme or rosemary (fresh or dried)

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season Steaks: Pat steaks dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steaks 3–5 minutes per side until browned and done to your liking. Transfer steaks to a plate to rest.
  3. Make Sauce: Lower heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet, then sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in broth, scraping the pan to release flavor. Add heavy cream and Parmesan, simmering 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens. Stir in thyme or rosemary.
  4. Finish: Return steaks to skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer 1–2 minutes to coat and infuse with flavor.
  5. Serve: Serve steaks hot, drizzled with creamy garlic sauce, and garnished with parsley. Enjoy with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, add more Parmesan cheese.
  • Adjust the herbs to suit your taste preferences.
  • Make sure not to overcook the steaks to keep them juicy and tender.
