  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (dill, parsley, or thyme) – about 2 tbsp chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Board Base:

  • 2 cups pita bread, cut into wedges and toasted
  • 1 cup assorted crackers

For the Fresh & Pickled Add-ons:

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives
  • ½ cup green olives
  • ½ cup pickled vegetables (such as peppers or artichokes)

For the Crunchy Elements:

  • ½ cup toasted almonds
  • ½ cup walnuts

For Garnish & Drizzle:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Whipped Feta Dip: In a food processor, combine crumbled feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if necessary. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  2. Toast the Pita Bread: Lightly toast the pita bread wedges in an oven or on a skillet until they are golden and crisp, about 5-7 minutes at 375°F. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Arrange the Board: Place the whipped feta dips in small serving bowls on a large serving board. Surround the bowls with toasted pita wedges, assorted crackers, fresh cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices, Kalamata and green olives, pickled vegetables, toasted almonds, and walnuts for a variety of textures and flavors.
  4. Garnish and Drizzle: Drizzle the whipped feta dips with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Garnish the dips and board with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges for brightness and presentation.
  5. Serve: Serve the Mediterranean tapas board immediately as a flavorful appetizer or light meal, encouraging guests to mix and match the different components.

Notes

  • The whipped feta dip can be made a few hours ahead and refrigerated; bring to room temperature before serving for best texture.
  • Feel free to customize the fresh and pickled vegetables based on what’s in season or your preference.
  • Use gluten-free crackers and pita if catering to gluten-free diets.
  • To enhance the dipping experience, warm the pita slightly before serving.
  • Fresh herbs such as dill, parsley, and thyme are interchangeable depending on availability and taste preference.
