Hot Honey Feta
- 8 oz feta cheese, block
- 2 tbsp honey
- ¼ tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp olive oil
Pita Chips
- 4 pita breads, cut into triangles
- 2–3 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
Board
- ½ cup Kalamata olives, pitted
- ½ cup green olives, pitted
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Optional: roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, or fresh herbs for garnish
- Prepare the Pita Chips: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Toss the pita triangles with olive oil and salt until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the chips are crisp and lightly golden brown.
- Prepare the Hot Honey Feta: Place the block of feta cheese in a small oven-safe dish. Drizzle honey over the top, sprinkle with red chili flakes according to your heat preference, and add olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes until the feta is warm and slightly softened.
- Assemble the Board: On a large serving platter, artistically arrange the warm hot honey feta, homemade pita chips, Kalamata and green olives, halved cherry tomatoes, and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Add any optional garnishes like roasted red peppers or artichoke hearts to enhance flavor and presentation.
- Serve: Serve immediately while the feta is warm and perfect for dipping to enjoy the full blend of flavors and textures.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of red chili flakes to control the level of heat in the hot honey feta.
- For a gluten-free option, substitute pita bread with gluten-free crackers or flatbreads.
- Store leftover pita chips in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
- You can prepare the olives and vegetables while the pita chips and feta bake to save time.
- For extra presentation flair, add fresh herbs like dill or oregano as garnish.
