White Chocolate Base
- 12 oz white chocolate, chopped
Toppings
- ½ cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional: 2 tbsp dried cranberries
- Optional: 1 tsp orange zest
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate from sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Melt the White Chocolate: Gently melt the chopped white chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each interval until smooth and silky.
- Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula to create a thin layer about ¼ inch thick.
- Add Toppings: Immediately sprinkle the roughly chopped pistachios evenly over the melted chocolate. Add a pinch of sea salt across the top. If desired, scatter dried cranberries or sprinkle orange zest for added color and flavor.
- Set the Bark: Allow the bark to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or speed up the process by refrigerating it for 15 minutes until firm.
- Break and Serve: Once firm, break the bark into irregular shards and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Notes
- Use good quality white chocolate for the best flavor and smooth texture.
- Make sure the chocolate is not overheated to avoid graininess.
- Customize toppings with nuts, dried fruits, or zest based on preference.
- Store bark in a cool, dry place to prevent melting and preserve freshness.
- You can use salted pistachios but adjust the added sea salt accordingly.
