Sweet, salty, and delightfully crunchy, this Pistachio Bark combines smooth white chocolate with crunchy shelled pistachios and a pinch of sea salt, making a perfect quick-fix indulgence. Optional additions like dried cranberries or orange zest add extra flair and flavor to this easy-to-make treat.

Ingredients

Scale

White Chocolate Base

  • 12 oz white chocolate, chopped

Toppings

  • ½ cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 2 tbsp dried cranberries
  • Optional: 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate from sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: Gently melt the chopped white chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each interval until smooth and silky.
  3. Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula to create a thin layer about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Add Toppings: Immediately sprinkle the roughly chopped pistachios evenly over the melted chocolate. Add a pinch of sea salt across the top. If desired, scatter dried cranberries or sprinkle orange zest for added color and flavor.
  5. Set the Bark: Allow the bark to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or speed up the process by refrigerating it for 15 minutes until firm.
  6. Break and Serve: Once firm, break the bark into irregular shards and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Use good quality white chocolate for the best flavor and smooth texture.
  • Make sure the chocolate is not overheated to avoid graininess.
  • Customize toppings with nuts, dried fruits, or zest based on preference.
  • Store bark in a cool, dry place to prevent melting and preserve freshness.
  • You can use salted pistachios but adjust the added sea salt accordingly.
