Tart Shells
- 1 sheet refrigerated pie dough (or homemade)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Filling
- 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup pumpkin purée
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
- Whipped cream
- Cinnamon or nutmeg sprinkle
- Crushed pecans (optional)
- Prepare the shells: Cut pie dough into small rounds. Press into mini muffin or tart pans. Brush with beaten egg. Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 10–12 minutes until golden. Let cool.
- Make the filling: Beat cream cheese, pumpkin purée, sugar, syrup, spices, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
- Fill the shells: Spoon or pipe mixture into cooled tart shells.
- Decorate: Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg, and crushed pecans if desired.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
