Cauliflower Steaks

  • 1 large head cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cauliflower: Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Remove the outer leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem, making sure to keep the core intact. Slice the cauliflower into 2–3 cm (¾–1 inch) thick steaks carefully so they hold together.
  2. Season: Lay the cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Generously brush both sides of each steak with olive oil. Sprinkle the smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper evenly over both sides of the steaks.
  3. Roast: Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast the cauliflower steaks for 25 to 30 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, flip each steak carefully to ensure even roasting. Roast until the steaks are golden brown, tender inside, with crispy edges.
  4. Finish: Remove the roasted cauliflower from the oven and transfer to serving plates. If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley or thyme over the top for added color and aroma. Serve warm.
