  • 2 tablespoons honey (30 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)

  • Fresh thyme or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Roast Vegetables: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the halved Brussels sprouts and cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes until they are tender and golden brown.
  2. Whip the Ricotta: While the vegetables roast, place the ricotta cheese in a bowl and whip it together with olive oil and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  3. Prepare Chili Honey: Gently warm the honey in a small saucepan or microwave, then stir in the chili flakes. Adjust the amount of chili flakes to your preferred level of heat.
  4. Smash the Vegetables: Once the roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes are done, use a spatula to gently smash them slightly, creating a rustic texture while keeping some chunks.
  5. Assemble the Dish: Spread the smashed vegetables on a serving plate or individual dishes. Spoon the whipped ricotta generously over the top, then drizzle with the chili honey. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if using.
