Instructions

  1. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and shallots, sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the cleaned clams: Stir to combine with the aromatics.
  3. Deglaze and Steam: Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Cover the pot and steam for 5-7 minutes until the clams open. Discard any clams that remain closed.
  4. Finish with Parsley and Seasoning: Stir in chopped parsley and sprinkle with lemon zest. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the clams and broth to a serving dish. Serve immediately with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful broth.
