Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs

1/4 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee
1 tbsp granulated sugar

8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping

Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
