Ingredients

Scale

Greek Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced (450 g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (2 g)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (2 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (6 g)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Flatbreads

  • 4 flatbreads or naan

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or crumbled feta (100 g)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (150 g)
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber (75 g)
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion (40 g)

Tzatziki

  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt (180 g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (1 g)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken breast, dried oregano, paprika, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Sauté the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside, about 7-8 minutes.
  2. Assemble the flatbreads: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread a generous layer of tzatziki sauce evenly over each flatbread. Top each with the cooked chicken pieces followed by shredded mozzarella or crumbled feta cheese.
  3. Bake the flatbreads: Place the topped flatbreads on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbreads are warmed through and slightly crispy.
  4. Add fresh toppings and serve: Remove the flatbreads from the oven and evenly distribute the halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumbers, and thinly sliced red onions on top. Slice into pieces and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use either mozzarella or feta cheese according to your preference; feta will give a tangier flavor typical of Greek cuisine.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes beforehand with the seasoning and olive oil.
  • Flatbreads can be substituted with naan or pita bread.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat before serving.
  • Tzatziki can be made ahead and kept chilled for up to 3 days for convenience.
