Chocolate Cake Base:
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dark Chocolate Mousse:
- 6 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Milk Chocolate Mousse:
- 6 oz milk chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
White Chocolate Mousse:
- 6 oz white chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- Prepare the Chocolate Cake Base: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line the bottom of a springform pan. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Bake for 20–25 minutes. Let cool.
- Make Dark Chocolate Mousse: Melt dark chocolate, whip cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold cream into chocolate.
- Assemble the Cake: Spread dark chocolate mousse over the cake base. Chill. Repeat with milk and white chocolate mousse, chilling between each layer.
- Chill and Decorate: Chill the cake for 6 hours or overnight. Decorate with chocolate shavings. Slice and serve cold.
