Chocolate Cake Base:

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Dark Chocolate Mousse:

  • 6 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Milk Chocolate Mousse:

  • 6 oz milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

White Chocolate Mousse:

  • 6 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Cake Base: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line the bottom of a springform pan. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Bake for 20–25 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Make Dark Chocolate Mousse: Melt dark chocolate, whip cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold cream into chocolate.
  3. Assemble the Cake: Spread dark chocolate mousse over the cake base. Chill. Repeat with milk and white chocolate mousse, chilling between each layer.
  4. Chill and Decorate: Chill the cake for 6 hours or overnight. Decorate with chocolate shavings. Slice and serve cold.
