Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For the Wraps

  • 4 large flatbreads or tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup cucumber, diced
  • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced

For the Creamy Lemon Feta Honey Sauce

  • ¾ cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Cook the Beef: Add ground beef along with oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6–7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and fully cooked through.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a blender or food processor, combine feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, honey, lemon juice, and black pepper. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Warm the Flatbreads: Heat each flatbread in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1–2 minutes until warm and pliable.
  5. Assemble the Wraps: Lay out each warmed flatbread and add a portion of cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, and thinly sliced red onion.
  6. Add Sauce and Serve: Drizzle the creamy lemon feta honey sauce generously over the fillings. Wrap tightly to enclose all ingredients and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, use lean ground beef or ground turkey.
  • Flatbreads can be substituted with whole wheat tortillas for added fiber.
  • The sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Customize toppings by adding olives or bell peppers for more Mediterranean flair.
  • Warm wraps prevent them from tearing and make them easier to roll.
